Service Diesel Technician
Role: Service Diesel Technician – Heavy Equipment Repair
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Service Technician for a shop-based position. This role requires a solid background in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty off-road construction equipment (e.g., loaders, excavators, backhoes, etc.). The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working on diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical, and electronic systems specific to large construction or industrial equipment. This is not an automotive technician role — candidates without heavy equipment repair experience will not be considered.
Compensation: Starting at $30.00/hr (pay based on experience)

Job Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair heavy equipment including diesel engines, hydraulic systems, powertrains, fuel systems, and electrical components
- Perform preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, and diagnostics
- Remove, install, and rebuild major components with minimal supervision
- Use diagnostic tools and follow service manuals and schematics to perform accurate repairs
- Complete detailed service reports and documentation of all work performed
- Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain a clean and professional work area
- Drive or maneuver equipment in and out of the service bay
- Attend OEM and regional training as required
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in heavy equipment or construction machinery repair is required
- Experience with brands like Takeuchi, Link-Belt, Bell, Volvo, Hyundai, CAT, or similar preferred
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical and mechanical systems
- Must supply own basic tool set
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Technical school diploma in Diesel/Heavy Equipment Repair preferred — relevant field experience will be accepted in lieu of formal education
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented shop environment
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
